five lectures on career paths of our successful alumni

For the past decade, similar to global trends, our study program on Communication Technologies and Signal Processing had limited popularity (overshadowed by Computer and Software engineering). However, the quality of students, and in particular female students, was astonishing. To celebrate this, we decided to invite five among the best of them to describe their younger peers their career paths beyond the moment they graduated our study program in exciting fields of communications, signal processing, machine learning and AI.

Many thanks to Tijana Devaja for event organisation, and to Danica Despotović, Anastazia Zunic, Simona Etinski, Tijana Zrnic and Kristina Gligorić for responding to this invitation. See you next Wednesday at 15:00h in NTP building (NTP-L01).

6G robotics panel at IEEE CSCN 2023 Munich

Prof. Dejan Vukobratovic from ICONIC centre participated at IEEE CSCN 2023 panel on Standardisation landscape for 6G robotics services moderated by Prof. Mohammad Reza Shikh-Bahaei (Kings College London), along with panelists Mona Ghassemian (Huawei), Cristina Ciochina-Duchesne (Mitsubishi Electric), Prof. Albena Mihovska (Aarhus University) and Kamran Sayrafian (NIST).

The panel explored standard initiatives, professional organisation and industrial fora and alliances that are primary coordinate their efforts on specific subjects of communication and robotics. ICT examples are 3GPP, IETF, IEEE, ETSI, M2M, and Robotics examples are ISO/TC, IEC, A3, ria, ANSI, VDMA, IFR, ADRA, eu-robotics.

This panel included discussions related to integrating mobile communication capability into robotics systems had gained significant momentum and how this integration can give rise to new possibilities to address relevant industrial and societal challenges. The panel further discussed where the current communication systems fall short to satisfy these requirements and what needs to be overcome in 6G for future robotic and automation systems.

H2020 INCOMING Project final event – 29-30. Sept – Novi Sad & Belgrade

H2020-INCOMING project is coming to an end. We had three great years of collaboration with Aalborg University, Chalmers University of Technology and German Aerospace Center (DLR), the partership that will certainly continue. Next week is our final outreach event. On Tuesday, at Naučno-tehnološki park Novi Sad/ Science and Technology Park Novi Sad we will recall what we did together. On Wednesday, at Crowne Plaza Belgrade, we will look into the future beyond 5G, taking the path towards 6G with 6 world-renowned experts: Petar Popovski, Ivan Seskar, Haris Gačanin, David Gomez-Barquero, Kostas Chalkiotis and Bob Stewart. Thanks everyone for contributing to H2020-INCOMING and making it a success, we all look forward to this event!
