ICONIC researchers part of H2020 MARVEL

H2020 project MARVEL (Multimodal Extreme Scale Data Analytics for Smart Cities Environments) kick-started in January 2021. ICONIC centre researcher Prof. Dragana Bajovic is a Scientist in Charge on behalf of the University of Novi Sad, she is Technical Coordinator of H2020 MARVEL, and the project will involve a number of researchers from ICONIC. ICONIC Team Received 1st Prize on IEEE VTS UAV Challenge

Date: December 2020.

Great news for the end of the year! Our PhD student team lead by Srdjan Sobot that includes Dusan Bortnik and Vladimir Nikic (ICONIC, University of Novi Sad) and Brena Lima (COPELABS, Lusofona University) won the first prize and qualified for Stage 2 of IEEE Vehicular Technology Society UAV Innovation Challenge with their design entry entitled “Two-Tier UAV-based NB-IoT Networks for Coordinated Missions in Deep Rural Environments”. Looking forward to deployment stage!

Massive NB-IoT testbed at ICONIC Centre

Date: June 2020

NB-IoT testbed with more than 100 custom-designed NB-IoT devices is being set up at ICONIC centre in collaboration with a mobile operator in Serbia. The devices will log large amount of data related to NB-IoT module communication, radio conditions and energy consumption.
