ICONIC @ Researchers Night – Novi Sad

Date: 27th September 2019.

ICONIC researchers participated at 10th Researchers Night event in Novi Sad.

ICONIC was part of Researchers Night Workshops by presenting the workshop on 5G and Internet of Things. We also presented activities on H2020 SENSIBLE (Sensing in Built Environment) Marie Curie project as part of the special event dedicated to Marie Curie actions.

BalkanCom 2019 in Skopje, North Macedonia

IEEE EUROCON 2019 in Novi Sad

Date and Place: 01st to 04th July 2019, Faculty of Technical Sciences, Novi Sad, Serbia

ICONIC researcher contribute to Special Session organization at EUROCON 2019. Dr Dragana Bajovic is organizing Special Session on Big Data and Distributed Inference, while Dr Dejan Vukobratovic (jointly with Dr Gordana Gardasevic from University of Banja Luka) organizes Special Session on Industrial IoT.

H2020 SENSIBLE Workshop in Novi Sad

Date and Place: 09th and 10th of April, Novi Sad, Serbia

H2020 SENSIBLE project workshop took place in Novi Sad on 09th and 10th of April, bringing together researchers and industrial partners from different academic and non-academic institutions involved in the project. The fruitful event discussed various aspects of wireless and optical communications, machine learning, Internet of Things, distributed algorithms, etc. in the context of Smart Buildings. Different subprojects such as Smart Chairs, Smart Illumination, Data Analytics from Smart Metering data, deep learning for Health and Well-Being applications have been presented.

Dr Cedomir Stefanovic Lecture

Date: 13. February 2019, Novi Sad, Serbia

Dr Cedomir Stefanovic, Associate Professor, Aalborg University, visited Faculty of Technical Sciences and ICONIC centre and presented a talk entitled “A Brief Overview of 3GPP URLLC Standardization (so far)”, where he presented to ICONIC researchers an overview and current status of 5G Ultra-Reliable and Low-Latency Communications service development.

Prof. Branka Vucetic Lecture

Date and Place: 18. January 2019, Novi Sad, Serbia.

Professor Branka Vucetic, University of Sydney, visited Faculty of Technical Sciences and ICONIC centre and presented a talk entitled “Centre for IoT and Telecommunications at the University of Sydney” under organization of IEEE Student Branch Novi Sad and IEEE Young professionals Serbia and Montenegro Section. Prof. Vucetic is Scientist in Charge for University of Sydney within EU funded Marie Curie RISE project SENSIBLE – Sensing in Built Environment, which provides opportunity for ICONIC researchers to visit and collaborate with researchers at the Centre for IoT and Telecommunications at the University of Sydney.

TELFOR 2018 in Belgrade

Date and Place: 20^th and 21^st November 2018, Sava Centar, Belgrade, Serbia.

Annual Telecommunications Forum will be held in Belgrade, Sava Centar, on Tuesday and Wednesday 20^th and 21^st November 2018.
